- Pre-built installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux may not be published yet. Check GitHub Releases and the marketing Download page for current status; building from source is described in the app repository README.

- Notes are stored in a local vault on disk; the app uses local databases/indexes for search and assistant features (see app repo README for technical detail).
- Default chat path uses Ollama locally; no Grimoire cloud account is required for core use.
- Optional Wikipedia-style libraries and catalogue downloads use the network only when the user enables those features.
